Activity & Leadership Courses

Level 2 Award in Multi Skills Development in Sport (Age 16+)

With this qualification, learners will gain the knowledge and understanding to incorporate fundamental movement skills and fundamental sports skills into multi-skills sessions delivered to a variety of populations. This is not a sport-specific coaching qualification.

Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Multi Skills Development in Sport (Age 16+)

This certificate qualifies your learners to work as independent multi-skills development coaches in sport and physical activity. If your learners are ready to take on responsibility for the ongoing development of participants of various ages in this area, or if they work in Physical Education and School Sport across the curriculum, this qualification is a great next step. This is not a sport-specific coaching qualification. This product is mapped against the Coach (Occupation) Professional Standards as a CIMSPA Professional Standards Endorsed Qualification.

Level 3 Certificate in Delivering Physical Activity and Sport within the School Environment (Age 17+)

The certificate is ideal for learners aspiring to work in school, as they will gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to design and deliver safe and inclusive curricular and extra-curricular physical education and sport programmes within a school environment. This qualification offers an ideal opportunity for learners to grow their knowledge and skills to be able to effectively support the development of children and young people. This product is mapped against the Safeguarding and Protecting Children (Technical) Professional Standards as a CIMSPA Professional Standards Endorsed Qualification.

Coaching Courses

Level 2 Certificate in Coaching (Age 16+)

This certificate is ideal for learners aspiring to become a coach as it them the knowledge and the opportunity to establish an individual coaching ethos, and to gain a fundamental understanding of the skills needed to coach, giving them the practical and theoretical knowledge to plan, deliver and review a series of linked and progressive coaching sessions in their selected sport. Importantly, this qualification can be transferred between sports.

If your learner is over the age of 18, this qualification will enable them to coach independently or as part of a larger coaching team. If they are under the age of 18, this qualification will enable them to coach as part of a larger coaching team. On completion, learners will receive the 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching and a separate recognition for their chosen sport. Where their selected sport isn't available, they will receive recognition in sport and physical activity. This product is mapped against the Coach (Occupation) and Safeguarding and Protecting Other (Technical) Professional Standards as a CIMSPA Professional Standards Endorsed Qualification.

Education and Training Courses

Level 3 Award for Tutors and Assessors in Sport (Age 19+)

This award is recognised as the minimum industry standard qualification for tutors and assessors in sport. The course is designed to prepare you for deployment as a tutor and assessor, it provides an opportunity to gain confirmation of your knowledge in your chosen area as well as to equip you with the necessary skills to become a tutor and assessor in sport.

Level 3 Award in Delivering Learning (Age 18+)

This course is designed for anyone aspiring to teach or who is new to teaching in the further education and skills sector. Developed as an introduction to teaching qualification, it can be undertaken by people who are not currently in a teaching role. There is, however, a minimum requirement to take part in microteaching (preparing teaching candidates for the 'real world' of the classroom).

With this qualification, your learners will gain key knowledge about teaching/training in the further education and skills sector, including on inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training.

Level 3 Award in Education and Training (Age 19+)

This course is recognised as the industry standard introduction to teaching qualification for the further education and skills sector by the Education and Training Foundation. It is a knowledge-based qualification with no minimum teaching practice requirement. There is, however, a minimum requirement to take part in microteaching (preparing teaching candidates for the 'real world' of the classroom).
